Membership Terms of Use
These terms govern your membership of the Intelligence Economy Institute and your use of its members products. Please read them carefully. By subscribing you agree to be bound by them.
Effective date: 28 July 2026
These Membership Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you (“you”, “the Member”) and Tokenfrastructure Group (“Tokenfrastructure”, “the Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”), the operator of the Intelligence Economy Institute (“IEI”, the “Institute”) and of the website at intelligenceconomy.org (the “Site”). They apply in addition to any terms presented at checkout. Where they conflict with general Site terms, these Terms govern your membership.
These Terms are provided for general information and do not constitute legal, financial, investment, tax, or regulatory advice.
1. Who we are
The Institute is a research and collaboration platform operated by Tokenfrastructure Group. Our registered entity details and registered address are set out at the end of these Terms. Questions about these Terms may be sent to research@tokenfrastructure.com.
2. Membership and eligibility
- Membership is personal to the Member. You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. If you subscribe on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to bind that organization, which is then jointly responsible for compliance.
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current. You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must not share, transfer, resell, or allow others to use your login or your access.
- We may offer different tiers (for example an individual Member tier and an Institutional tier) and complimentary or invited access at our discretion. The tier you hold determines the benefits available to you.
3. Member benefits
Depending on your tier and current offering, membership may include:
- Members-only reports, notes and working papers gated to members, including downloadable documents where made available.
- The Tokenization Monitor, our institutional-tokenization market intelligence: the full explorer, leaderboards, institution profiles, country cards, score history and movers, and related analytics.
- Monitor Briefings and other members-only editorial published from time to time.
- Access to members tools and sessions that we may make available, such as interactive workshop instruments.
Benefits are provided on an evolving basis. We may add, change, suspend, or withdraw features, content, data, tiers, or benefits at any time, provided that we will not materially reduce the core benefits of a paid tier during a period you have already paid for without offering you a pro-rata remedy or the ability to cancel. Benefits have no cash value and are not transferable.
4. Fees, billing and renewal
- Membership fees, billing frequency, and any applicable taxes are those shown at checkout at the time you subscribe. Unless stated otherwise, paid memberships are billed in advance on a recurring basis (for example monthly) and renew automatically for successive periods until cancelled.
- Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor (currently Stripe). You authorize us and our processor to charge your payment method for each renewal until you cancel. You are responsible for keeping a valid payment method on file.
- Prices are stated exclusive of value added tax or other applicable taxes unless indicated, and you are responsible for such taxes. If withholding applies, fees are grossed up so we receive the stated amount.
- We may change fees for future billing periods. We will give reasonable prior notice of a price change, and it will take effect at your next renewal; if you do not accept it, you may cancel before the renewal date.
- If a payment fails, we may retry, suspend, or downgrade your access until payment is resolved.
5. Cancellation and refunds
- You may cancel your membership at any time through your account or by contacting us. Cancellation stops the next renewal; it takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you retain access until then.
- Except where required by mandatory law, fees are non-refundable, and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial periods, unused access, or benefits you did not use.
- Where you subscribe as a consumer and a statutory cooling-off or withdrawal right applies to digital services, you expressly request that we begin providing the members content immediately. You acknowledge that once access has been provided you may lose that withdrawal right to the extent permitted by law. Mandatory consumer rights that cannot be excluded are unaffected.
6. License and permitted use
Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and use the members content and tools for your own internal, professional, non-commercial reference purposes for the duration of your membership.
You must not, and must not permit any third party to:
- copy, reproduce, republish, redistribute, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or otherwise make available any members content, reports, briefings, or Monitor data to any person who is not an authorized Member;
- scrape, crawl, harvest, data-mine, or use automated means to extract content or data, or circumvent any access control, paywall, or usage limit;
- create derivative databases or products from, or use as an input to train models on, the Monitor data, methodology, scores, or other content, except as expressly permitted by us in writing;
- remove or alter any proprietary notices, or misrepresent the source, currency, or meaning of any content;
- use the membership or content in any way that is unlawful, infringing, or that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Site or our systems.
You may quote limited excerpts for commentary or internal discussion with clear attribution to the Intelligence Economy Institute, provided you do not reproduce substantial portions or circumvent the members gate.
7. Intellectual property
The Site and all content, reports, briefings, the Tokenization Monitor, the underlying benchmark and methodology, datasets, scores, text, graphics, software, and trademarks (including “Intelligence Economy Institute”, “IEI”, and “Tokenization Monitor”) are owned by or licensed to Tokenfrastructure and are protected by intellectual-property laws. No rights are granted to you except the limited license in section 6. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
8. Research disclaimer and no advice
- All content, including reports, briefings, and the Tokenization Monitor, is provided for general information and research purposes only. It is not investment, financial, legal, accounting, tax, or regulatory advice, and is not a recommendation, offer, or solicitation to buy, sell, or hold any asset, security, token, or instrument.
- Scores, classifications, and assessments are analytical opinions based on information believed to be reliable at the time of publication. They are estimates subject to uncertainty, may rely on third-party sources, and may change without notice. We do not warrant that any content is accurate, complete, current, or fit for any particular purpose.
- You are solely responsible for any decision or action you take based on the content, and you should obtain independent professional advice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for such decisions or actions.
9. Acceptable use and confidentiality
You agree not to misuse the Site or members content, not to attempt to gain unauthorized access, and not to interfere with its operation or security. Members content is made available in confidence for your permitted use only; you agree to keep gated materials confidential and not to disclose them outside the scope of section 6.
10. Accounts, security and third-party services
Authentication, payments, hosting, and email delivery may be provided by third parties (for example identity and infrastructure providers, our payment processor, and email services). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services or for third-party content linked from the Site.
11. Privacy
We process personal data to operate memberships, provide the services, and take payment. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. By subscribing you consent to such processing as described in these Terms and any privacy notice we publish. Contact us at research@tokenfrastructure.com for privacy requests.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Site, the members content, and all tools and data are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that the service will be available at all times or free of defects.
13. Limitation of liability
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunity, or investment losses, arising out of or relating to your membership or use of the content, even if advised of the possibility.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to your membership or these Terms will not exceed the total membership fees you actually paid to us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tokenfrastructure and its officers, employees, and agents against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the content, or your infringement of any third-party right.
15. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your membership and access, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or to protect the Site, other members, or our rights. On termination your license ends and you must stop using and delete any members content in your possession. Termination for your breach does not entitle you to a refund. Sections that by their nature should survive (including sections 6 to 8 and 12 to 18) survive termination.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date and, for material changes affecting paid members, take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued membership after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you may cancel before the changes take effect.
17. Force majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, outages, failures of third-party providers, cyber-attacks, or changes in law.
18. Governing law and disputes
These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by French law. The competent courts of Paris, France have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you in your country of residence and to any mandatory rules of law that apply regardless of this choice. Where you contract as a consumer, you may also bring proceedings before the courts of your place of residence.
19. General
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with any checkout terms and any notices we publish, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding membership.
- Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of it.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them to an affiliate or successor.
- Notices. We may give notices by email or by posting on the Site.
